The Task Force is a blue-ribbon working group of leading experts on insider trading, from academia, the bench, and private practice, and includes former senior officials of the Department of Justice and the Securities and Exchange Commission.  The Task Force has been convened to provide meaningful guidance to clarify U.S. insider trading laws. On January 27, 2020, the Task Force issued a Report analyzing the history and current status of insider trading law, making recommendations to improve the law, and setting forth model statutory provisions.
